High School Bridge Building Competition

Students from high schools in Chelan and Douglas counties pit their handmade bridges against one another in regional competition. The bridges, individually designed but built within standard specifications, are judged by the amount of weight they can support before breaking. Winners advance to national competition in Chicago.
